2024: Celebrating a Year of Giving Back
December 03, 2024
/As we reflect on 2024, our hearts are full as we celebrate a year of creativity, growth, and meaningful impact at Colored Organics. This year has been an incredible journey of innovation, heartfelt collaborations, and the unwavering support of our amazing community. Thanks to you—our customers, partners, and dedicated team—our mission to give back has flourished in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
Through partnerships with inspiring charities and non-profits, we’ve provided essential clothing and supplies to families in need, making a meaningful difference in their lives. We’re deeply grateful for the support that has made this possible and for the opportunity to create change together. Here’s to another year of kindness, connection, and impact!
We kicked off the year with an exciting partnership with TB1Fund, by donating to help fund the development of the new TB1F Rehab Center at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minnesota! The TB1F Rehab Center will be a state-of-the-art new facility on the 6th Floor of M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. This rehab facility will be available for patients of all ages and health issues to improve their physical and mental health.
February was a bustling month as we prepared for the new season. During the month we collaborated with Kids in Tech for our Print with a Purpose - the Dino print. This print brought a fun and adventurous spirit to our collection, setting a lively tone for the year ahead. With 20% of proceeds supporting children's STEM programs, this playful design adds whimsy to your little one's wardrobe while making a meaningful impact.
March was a month of expansion and celebration. We proudly launched our sister label, KENDI by Colored Organics, showcasing fancier fabrics in new collections. Our efforts were complemented by partnering with the Grace to Give Foundation, contributing to their incredible work supporting women, youth, and children. The Foundation believes that all children, no matter their family's financial position, should be able to attend public schools that are properly renovated and be equipped with basic learning materials that meet their needs for academic success. It was a month filled with new beginnings and giving back to causes close to our hearts.
With the blossoming of spring upon us, we embraced the changing seasons by partnering with No Kid Hungry for our special Print with a Purpose, the Picnic in the Park print. We pledged to contribute 20% of the proceeds from each Picnic in the Park print item to work towards ending child hunger in America. We are proud to partner with an incredible organization that is working to ensure that every child in the United States has access to healthy food where they live, learn, and play.
April showers brought May flowers through our monthly give! We are proud to have partnered with Moms for Moms, a New York City non-profit, dedicated to assisting single mothers, living in abusive, homeless and low-income situations with critical supplies needed for women after the birth of a child. The non-profit supplies two care packages: a Newborn Baby Bundle focused on the infant and a Postpartum Recovery Kit for the mother. These packages are designed to help relieve some of the stress and financial burden that can be associated with becoming a mother while also allowing them to fully embrace the joy of motherhood.
In June, we partnered with Foster America with our playful Print with a Purpose, the County Fairground print. With 20% of proceeds being donated to help positively impact foster care families and organizations, this whimsical design captures the essence of hot summer days in the midway where laughter and happiness abound.
July featured another special Print with a Purpose - the Star print. This returning gender-neutral print, now in a timeless truffle hue, brought a warm and fun design for little ones ages newborn to 6 years. Each purchase of this item contributes 20% of the proceeds to support military families in need through Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. The mission of Children of Fallen Patriots is to ensure every child of a fallen patriot receives all necessary college funding through scholarships and educational counseling. This partnership was a heartfelt tribute to the families of fallen heroes, and we were honored to support their incredible work.
For our August Give, we were thrilled to continue our donations to Red White and Babies. This incredible organization is dedicated to assisting military, law enforcement, and first responder families by providing essential baby items during deployment and times of hardship.
September kicked off in a big way, marking not only with the launch of new collections but also a significant milestone—our 10th year in business! Our busy and exciting month was topped off with our September give back to The Hands and Feet, a South Florida organization that is revolutionizing the way essential items are delivered to families in the child welfare system. Think of Hands and Feet as DoorDash for foster care. Their mission is to deliver everything a child needs directly to their doorstep within 48 hours, ensuring that they receive crucial support during a time of significant transition.
Falling leaves and spooky season quickly arrived with October. Throughout October, we are proud to have partnered with the Refugee Care Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting refugee families as they begin new lives after fleeing conflict and hardship. We are honored to donate to this incredible organization and help provide support to children and families who need it most.
Teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for our November give back, we released our last Print with a Purpose of the year – the Armadillo print. A design with heart and purpose, this special print helped make a difference by donating proceeds to help grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
This Giving Tuesday, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible CO community that makes our mission of giving back possible. We're pausing to reflect on the amazing support from our partners, supporters, and everyone who has been part of this journey with us. Thank you for helping us make a meaningful impact this year—you are an important part of our story. We’re beyond grateful for you and can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us together!
